Jaipur, A 33-year-old sales manager allegedly died by suicide at his rented flat in Jaipur’s Vishwakarma area, following which police registered a case of abetment of suicide against his wife, in-laws and brother-in-law, officials said on Friday.
The door was locked from inside with no response, following which police team were informed. In the note, Jitin allegedly held his wife Shefali, her parents and her brother responsible for his death. He also alleged that his wife did not allow him to speak to or meet their daughter and had allegedly used the child to demand money from him.
Jitin allegedly died by suicide on August 1 by hanging himself at his flat, according to the police.
Jitin, a resident of Sadulshahar in Sri Ganganagar district, had been living in a rented flat in Malhotra Nagar for around eight months and worked as a sales manager at a factory in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area, police said. Police forced open the door and found Jitin hanging inside, the SHO said. During a search of the room in the presence of family members, police recovered a four-page suicide note, Singh said.
The family also alleged that a false case had been filed against them.
The police, with the assistance of a forensic team, collected evidence from the spot. The body was sent for post-mortem examination at Kanwatiya Hospital and later handed over to the family.
