A young couple who worked for the same bank were found dead in Kerala and Karnataka within hours of each other, police said on Thursday.

Amal had been staying in Ernakulam with friends. A security guard alerted the police after the woman fell from the building, following which officers reached the residential society and identified her with the help of residents. After being informed about the death, the woman’s family members allegedly accused her husband of demanding dowry.
In a separate incident, a 24-year-old woman died after falling from the 16th floor of a high-rise in Sector 110, Noida, on Sunday. Her 28-year-old husband was arrested on charges of dowry death after her family accused him of demanding dowry. An investigator said police went to the couple’s flat after the incident and found the husband asleep. Police said he appeared to have checked into a lodge on Wednesday after learning about Anushree’s death.
