New Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has signed an agreement with Juniper Hotels Ltd for development of a five-star hotel in Sector 23, Dwarka, a project expected to attract over ₹ 1,000 crore in capital investment and generate around 800 direct jobs.
The central development
The hotel will overlook the DDA’s Dwarka Golf Course and is located close to the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre and Dwarka Sports Complex. It is also opposite the proposed Diplomatic Enclave.
The DDA said the location would help the hotel cater to business travellers, convention visitors, tourists and golfers. The authority said the hotel would add to the availability of five-star accommodation in Delhi-NCR and support the growing demand for hospitality services in Dwarka, particularly with major facilities such as Yashobhoomi, the golf course and the proposed Diplomatic Enclave.
What Happens Next
The hotel will be developed on a licence-fee basis and is expected to become operational by 2030, officials said. It is one of four special licence-fee projects auctioned by the DDA over the past year and the first for which the authority has formally executed a licensing agreement.
