After the Bill passed, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju objected to Opposition MPs crowding the Well of the House Mr. Shah had written to the Speaker seeking a debate. Rijiju said the government was ready to debate the issue of student protests over the NEET paper leaks and urged the Opposition to start discussion. He also said Home Minister Amit Shah was ready to answer questions and informed the House that Mr. Kishan Reddy said divergent fiscal levies by States had created uncertainty in the mineral sector and could raise costs, encourage imports and undermine domestic supply chains.
