Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday asked citizens to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and make it a celebration in every home ahead of Independence Day.

“Come, let us make #HarGharTiranga a celebration in every home,” Modi said in a post on Instagram, sharing a video related to the campaign. This came ahead of the 80th Independence Day celebrations on 15th August.
“Come, let us celebrate August 15 with pride and honour, pay tribute to the freedom fighters, and pledge to build a developed India (Viksit Bharat). The Tricolour in every home, the Tricolour in every household, the Tricolour in every heart. Come, let us hoist the Tricolour at every home,” the PM said.
The 2026 edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is being observed in August, with citizens encouraged to hoist the national flag at their homes and participate in the nationwide celebration.
The campaign seeks to encourage people to bring the Tricolour into their homes and celebrate the spirit of independence.
